In recent days I have awoken consistently in the very early hours of the morning with many things on my heart.  I am enjoying these Psalm 16:7 mornings: “I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me”.

Psalm 63:5-6  My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches

Psalm 119:147-148 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your words. My eyes anticipate the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word.

There is something special about being awaken and sensing the Spirit of God is with you.  As I have entered into the Word of God I have been blessed with insights and answers to practical issues I am faced with in life.  I am so grateful that I serve a God who takes such interest regarding the things I face in life each week.   I am sad for the seasons of life in which I did not seek or respond to the prompting of God in this way, as I know now how much I missed out on HIs loving and wise care in my life.

As long as there is a grace to hear from the Lord in the early morning watches of the night, I welcome His stirring me from my sleep and calling me into conversation with Him.
